Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island! is a Saturday morning children's show that aired on Kids' WB in the United States, from September 17, 2005 to May 27, 2006. The show was produced by Warner Bros. Animation.Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island takes place on an island inhabited exclusively by fruit. The residents enjoy their own tropical paradise without a care in the world; they must share their peaceful utopia with the joyfully strange Coconut Fred, a whimsical, blissfully foolish coconut with the special ability to materialize anything he thinks about. The plot revolves around the adventures of Fred and his friends, as his boundless imagination springs to life while his friends struggle to cover up the collateral.

C.K.’s mother helped him to pay for “Caesar’s Salad,” the production of which required him to close down a street and use a cop car. In the Louis C.K. episode of Marc Maron’s podcast, Maron mentions that he was cut out of “Caesar’s Salad” but some of his guitar playing remains on the soundtrack.

The title is a portmanteau on kudomono (fruit) and nou (brains). The anime consists of three two-minutes skits, with basically the same structure. Orange and Pineapple are in Hong Kong, Ancient Egypt, Outer Space. Orange is trying to accomplish something - watching a drug deal go down, taking a break from work, trying to defuse a bomb outside a space station - while Pineapple pesters him with pointless and increasingly obscure questions.
